STAY PHYSICAL OVER THE SUMMER

TCRC Summer Camps provide athletes the opportunity to develop skills, build confidence on the water, and experience the teamwork and discipline that make rowing such a unique sport. We offer two primary camp options designed for different experience levels.

LEARN-TO-ROW CAMP

For athletes new to rowing

Learn to Row Camp is designed for students who have little or no rowing experience and want to learn the fundamentals of the sport in a fun and supportive environment.

​

Athletes will be introduced to rowing technique, boat safety, and teamwork while gaining confidence on the water. Our experienced coaches focus on building strong fundamentals while creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere for beginners.

​

Athletes will learn:

  • Basic rowing technique and terminology

  • Boat safety and handling

  • How to work together in a crew boat

  • Balance and coordination on the water

  • Introductory fitness and conditioning​

 

By the end of the week, athletes will have a solid understanding of rowing fundamentals and the confidence to continue developing in the sport.

Monday – Friday
7:30 AM – 10:00 AM

​

Who should enroll

  • 8 - 18 yrs old

  • Students with no prior rowing experience

  • Athletes interested in trying a new sport

  • Middle and high school students looking for a summer activity

DEVELOPMENT CAMP

For athletes with 1+ seasons of experience

​

Development Camp is designed for athletes who already understand the basics of rowing and are ready to build on their skills. This camp focuses on improving technique, boat control, and aerobic fitness while introducing athletes to more advanced rowing concepts.

​

Rowers will spend more time refining the stroke, learning how to move boats efficiently, and developing confidence in smaller boats.

​

Athletes will focus on:

  • Refining rowing technique and timing

  • Boat balance and efficiency

  • Small boat skill development

  • Aerobic conditioning

  • Goal setting and performance improvement

 

Development Camp is ideal for rowers preparing for the upcoming fall season or looking to continue progressing in the sport.

  • Middle &High School athletes

  • Returning TCRC rowers

  • Athletes who have completed Learn to Row

  • Rowers looking to improve their skills and fitness
