Where is Treasure Coast Rowing Club located?

Our boathouse is the George A. Sharrow Memorial Boathouse in Palm City, Florida (771 SW 28th St, Palm City, FL 34991). We row on the St. Lucie River, which provides excellent year-round training conditions.

What age can athletes start rowing?

Accepted Answer

A: While Treasure Coast Rowing Club has welcomed athletes as young as 8 years old in previous years, our program structure has changed for the 2027 Fall season.
Due to limited coaching staff and our commitment to maintaining a safe coach-to-athlete ratio, new athletes must be entering 7th grade or higher in Fall 2027 to join our regular fall program.
Athletes who are below 7th grade and are returning members of TCRC are welcome to continue rowing with the club.
We understand there is interest from younger athletes, and we hope to offer week-long Learn-to-Row camps and introductory programs throughout the year for elementary and younger middle school students, depending on coaching availability. These camps provide a fun and safe opportunity to experience rowing before becoming eligible for our full junior program.
We appreciate your understanding as we focus on providing the highest quality coaching experience and maintaining a safe training environment for all athletes.

How do I know if rowing is right for me or my child?

We offer try-out free trial periods at the beginning of each rowing season, as well as Learn-to-Row opportunities throughout the year. Keep an eye on our social media for announcements about these sessions, or email us directly at info@treasurecoastrowing.com to learn more.

For adults, we also offer private lessons as a way to try rowing in a one-on-one setting. Visit the Adult Rowing tab on our website for more information on scheduling a private lesson.
