The Ergathon is a four hour event featuring 15+ teams, each made up of five junior rowers, coming together not only to compete, but to raise money for the program. Each athlete is responsible for reaching out to family, friends, and community members to secure pledges based on the distance they row. This means that every meter pulled on the erg contributes directly to the success of the fundraiser.

The format of the Ergathon requires both strategy and endurance. Rowers will rotate on and off the erg in an order determined by their team. the fundraising model, including pledges and flat donations, turns every stroke into meaningful support for the club.
